A “castell”, or castle, is a human tower of various levels of height. The tradition of making castells dates from over 200 years ago from the Tarragona region. Little by little it spread across all Catalonia and became connected with local festivals. It has even been world heritage listed by UNESCO. Those who gather to make castells are called “castellers” and teamwork is one of their principle values. This workshop lets you participate in building a small castell.
In this workshop we do wine tasting for all levels and learn the most important things like the most important glasses to use, the correct temperature, how to distinguish the flavours, aromas and pairing.
Learn to cook traditional dishes like Paella that you will prepare with ecological produce and later you can eat!

With this activity the participants visit a Penedés winery in which a sommelier will let them try different wines and through a game, learn to identify different flavours. Later, the participants will divide into teams and make a small “castell”.
