This tour comprises of an enchanting walk back in time through the neighbourhoods that exhibit best Barcelona’s Roman and Medieval past: the gothic centre and Ribera neighbourhood ending back in the 20th century at the Picasso Museum where hang collections of works from Picasso’s formative period, Barcelona period, and some of the most important works of his “blue” period unable to be seen anywhere else in the world.
Gothic centre: this area was the core of the old city, an bewildering labyrinth of lanes and squares wherein are found the city’s Roman ruins and its most important medieval buildings.

•Plaça de Sant Jaume. (Saint James’ Square) Barcelona’s ancient Roman forum was once found in this square where today the seat of the Catalan government is located in two buildings known as the Palau de la Generalitat and Ajuntament de Barcelona.

Picasso Museum: The first museum in the world solely dedicated to Picasso, housing the largest collection of works from the artist’s youth. It was created during the lifetime of the Andalusian artistic genius. Without a doubt, it constitutes one of the “must see” places in the city. For those who prefer walks in the open air, we can substitute the museum visit with a tour of the
Ciutadela Park.

- with transport and chauffeur: not necessary for this tour as it takes place in only pedestrian areas of very narrow streets thus the tour is completely on foot.
